"Assamese Muslims of India (ah-SUH-meez)"

For the past nine months, a health-training team made up of national believers has been building relationships and sharing Bible stories in two Assamese Muslim villages. In one of the villages, the team has been able to pray in the power of Jesus’ name for the healing of wounds and illnesses and has seen miraculous healings. Pray for the team as they prepare to create and teach health lessons that are relevant to the needs of the villagers. Ask that these villagers will come to believe and follow Jesus, who has been revealed to them through Bible stories and healings. Pray that the team will find favor in the second village that has shown some resistance. Lift up one Muslim woman, A., in this same village who listens to the Bible stories and has asked what she would need to do to accept Jesus. Two cross-cultural workers are currently networking and praying for more national partners to multiply the health-training work throughout the thousands of Muslim villages in Assam. Pray that these workers will be given wisdom and discernment to see where the Lord is already at work and join Him there. Pray that they will continue to advance in language proficiency at the same time that they seek national partners who speak English.
