"Jola-Fonyi of Senegal and the Gambia (JOH-luh-FOH-nyee)"

The Jola-Fonyi Team writes: “Thank you for praying in March for the research team as they researched three smaller Jola dialects. They found these groups in three different villages and obtained some of their history, found out if there were any believers among those who speak their dialect, and also obtained logistic information that would be needed for a church in the United States to adopt these people groups. They were able to share the ‘Creation to Christ’ story with nine men in a fourth village. There were no decisions made for Christ, but they were very attentive, heard God’s Word, and even asked questions afterwards. Pray that God’s powerful Word will continue to touch their hearts. Pray that there will be churches in the States that will be open to adopting the speakers of these Jola dialects for prayer and evangelism: the Jola Karon, the Jola Gusilay, and the Jola Mlomp.”
