J.O., Not certain you will remember me, but I worked as a j-man in Guatemala a few years back and had the fortunate experience of working with you on a project, building a set of audio stories for the T.S. Mam people group. Now residing in Asia, my husband and I have the opportunity to be part of a church plant in our area and, as we are thinking through curriculum for the children, I'm looking into utilizing storying. The post from the earlier gentlemen is just what I was wondering about---i.e. story sets for Children?? We will have ages 3-10 and are thinking of having them together for a CBS time....then breaking up into 3-4, 5-6, 7-8, 9-10 for other age-specific related questions, activities, games, etc. Any suggestions? Thank you! Melanie (Drake) Case

Michael, you should get in touch with Kurt Jarvis. He is with International Network of Children's Ministry and has produced an excellent children Bible storying curriculum and resources. You did not mention what age range of children. There are other free materials available on the internet that can be used alone or as a kernel for building your own curriculum. I'll compile a list of these and send directly to you.

Hi, My name is Michael and I've been a Precept Inductive Bible teacher for 14 years and recently learned how to "Tell Bible Stories" and love it. It is the only way I want to now teach the Word. I have only taught Adults in the past and would like to start introducing "Bible Stories" to children and would appreciate a list of appropriate stories to choose from and any suggestions on how to present to children. My email address is mmahony@embarqmail.com. Thank you.

I have been receiving a growing number of requests for children's Bible Storying resources. One of the most comprehensive resources is that of Kurt and Judy Jarvis. Bible Storying for Kids Training Manual: This is a comprehensive manual on the Bible storying approach for teaching children and includes an easy-to-use, step by step seminar outline for copying when teaching this approach to others. Included are the 60 Bible story outlines ready for telling and teaching. The manual also includes chapters on how to teach the basics of chronological Bible storying, understanding how children learn, faith formation, worldview issues and a full chapter dedicated to storytelling techniques and principles, along with seminar participant interactive materials and seminar discussion guides. The Jarvises have extensive experience in working with children and conducting international training sessions for those who work with children. Email: kurt@CBS4Kids.org. Internet: www.CBS4Kids.org. For a list of more resources write me: jot2@sbcglobal.net.
